The M3 GTR Prototype was a road-going homologation equivalent in the E36 body. Although several race version M3 GTR cars were produced (including a few that raced in the US) the street-legal car never made it to series production.

It’s only been a handful of times in my life that I have been fortunate enough to fall into the serendipity of the right place / right time. I would count the discovery of my E36 M3 as one of them.

So here’s a question that nobody asks: ‘Why doesn't the 911 have more models?’ I often spend time in the 911 configurator, confronted with the same paradox of choice.

If Porsche has done one thing right in recent years, it's listening to their core enthusiast audience in producing a sportscar lineup that is among the most desirable in the world. It was recently reported that amongst all 992 GT3 orders, over 70% are checking the box opting for manual transmission.

Just like that and *poof*, summer is gone in the rearview mirror. Gave the Carrera T an end-of-summer cleanup over the weekend, which was just an ordinary wash and a coat of AMMO Creme.

So where do I start with this one? Sometime around late 2020, I started making plans to purchase my first Porsche - a 718 GT4 once they became available (and god willing if I could get an allocation).

I recently took the opportunity to visit Hawk’s Nest, NY. Oddly enough I have been here once before, it was 1996 and I was tubing down the Delaware River at a week away summer camp. I remember one of the counselors pointing to the stretch of road carved into the cliff saying ‘car commercials are filmed there’.

A couple of months back, I set out on a mission to obtain a ‘reasonable’ car to supplement ownership of my BMW M3 (F80). While I love the M3, it def has shortcomings for daily duties, especially in the northeast where terrible roads, winter weather, and constant traffic are issues.

So I purchased a new EGO 650 back in April and it showed up right around the time that I took delivery of the Carrera T. I honestly purchased the blower to keep the driveway clean without having to lug a cord around all the time, but the side benefit of drying off the Porsche and other cars in a quick manner was a bonus.
